Applied astronomy laboratories include Kashi satellite ground station and GPS station (Nanshan, Ulastay and Bainbuluke) and are still in the course of construction and expansion. “Digital Xinjiang” and “Digital Frontier” ground satellite receiving stations and the Ground Tracking Station of Galileo Navigation System are in planning. We will give full play to the observation advantages of the three stations of GNSS, VLBI and SLR, Chinese Regional Positioning System as well as “Digital Xinjiang Ground Station”, bringing in talents and carrying out research on terrestrial reference system, earth rotation parameter measurement, crust movement monitoring and ionosphere, etc., performing application and research on satellite orbit determination, navigation and positioning, time synchronization and Resources Technology Satellite, etc.
