From March 20th to 28th, 2012, the 1m wide-filed telescope has been successfully installed at Nanshan site of XAO.
On March 20th, technicians from APM, National Astronomical Observatory and Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory arrived at Nanshan and inspected the site. They have discussed every installation process and formulated detailed plan, making full preparations for the installation. On March 21st, the technicians has assembled and installed the forks arm, the primary mirror and the truss of the telescope. After the installation, the telescope is tuned to the best state. On March 24th, a picture of nebula was taken by the telescope, and the image quality is good.
The installation of the telescope can strengthen the observational ability of Nanshan site, and also has unique advantages on astronomical research, such as survey, photometry, variable and searching for asteroids.
