From August 8th to 11th, 2012, Professor Jφrgen Christensen-Dalsgaard from Aarhus University visited XAO in company with Deng Licai, the research fellow of National Astronomical Observatory.

 

During the visit, Professor Jφrgen Christensen-Dalsgaard had a deep discussion with the researchers of Optical Astronomy and Technology Application Laboratory, providing valuable suggestions on site selection, small-bore network layout and talent training. He hopes to strengthen the cooperation with XAO, using geographic advantages of Xinjiang to carry out optical observational research. Professor Jφrgen Christensen-Dalsgaard also visited Nanshan site and Qitai site, and made a report on the Brief Introduction and Previous Research of SONG Project.

 

Professor Jφrgen Christensen-Dalsgaard is mainly engaged in the research of asteroid exploration and star pulsation theory. He has published many research papers and has an influence on this field.
