The meeting of the President Xi with the representatives of space scientists and engineers of the Chang’e mission

On February 22, President Xi Jinping met the representatives of space scientists and engineers who participated in the research and development of the Chang'e-5 lunar mission at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Also attended the event included Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji, Han Zheng, and all members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. 

WANG Na, Director of the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory, had the honor to attend the event. 
“This was a great honor for me and for XAO”, said WANG Na. “We have participated in the lunar mission for several times as one of the VLBI astrometric orbit measurement system and made indispensable contributions to the whole mission. We have excellent researchers and engineers who are ready to take the responsibility to get the work done around the clock. 

As President Xi emphasized at the meeting “embarking on a new interplanetary exploration journey step by step, promoting the innovative development of China's space exploration cause, and making greater contributions to humanity's peaceful use of space”. We will fulfill our responsibilities in the lunar missions, and we are committed to achieving more significant results.”
