On February 26, Manglik·Esti, the vice president of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and other leaders from related departments visited, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Xinjiang Branch, with their first stop at Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory for inspection of the astronomical techniques laboratory building.
Manglik·Esti visited the Microwave Receiver Technology Laboratory, Precision Machining and Processing Center and other laboratories at XAO. He also attended the reporting of the ultra-wideband feed source technology, low noise amplifier technology and XAO on focusing resources for radio astronomy basic research and national great strategic demand. After years of cultivations and constructions, the Microwave Receiver Technology Laboratory is now capable of conducting research and development on high precision microwave measurement, precision machining and processing, low temperature testing and receiver integration, all of which can provide technical support for the construction of the 110-m aperture fully steerable radio telescope and to accelerate the development of radio astronomy in China. He stated that XAO has focused on the world-leading science and technology and has carried out the cutting edge astronomical research, and this is a great cause of XAO.
