From May 20 to May 28, 2012, the 1m wide-field telescope of XAO has been successfully installed at Nanshan Base. 

Professionals from German APM Company, National Astronomical Observatory and Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory arrived at Nanshan Base and surveyed the site, discussing each step of the installation process, making detailed plan and getting ready for the installation.  

The 1m wide-field telescope can not only strengthen the ability of Nanshan Base to observe space target and debris, but also has unique advantages in the fields of patrol survey, photometry, variable star, and minor planet searching.
