Xinjiang Key Laboratory of Microwave Technology
Xinjiang Key Laboratory of Microwave Technology, formerly known as the Microwave Technology Laboratory of Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was established in 2011. It is mainly engaged in theoretical research and measurement in radio astronomy, microwave technology, data processing, electromagnetic compatibility, wireless communication, and other related fields. Since it was officially approved as the key laboratory of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in 2020, it has established a technical support team with international-level high-tech talent through training and the introduction of relevant technicists. Specialized technical personnel have been trained in microwave technology, data processing terminals, electromagnetic compatibility technology, receiver system integration, software radio, mechanical design and processing, and cryogenic system maintenance.
The main research directions of Xinjiang Key Laboratory of Microwave Technology are as follows:
1. Microwave Cryogenic Receiver Technology: Conducts research on low-noise amplifiers, ultra-wideband passive devices, multi-beam receivers, and related technologies.
2. Digital Astronomy Technology: Focuses on research on digital signal processor technology and uses software technology to realize various functional modules of radio astronomy terminals.
3. Electromagnetic Compatibility Technology: Conducts scientific evaluation of EMC performance of instruments and equipment, analyzes the impact of electromagnetic radiation on radio astronomy observation, and carries out related research.
