Nanshan Small Telescope Group

The Nanshan Small Telescope Group is a collaborative project undertaken by the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory in cooperation with Tsinghua University, Peking University, National Astronomical Observatories, Beijing Normal University, Xinjiang University, and Xingming Amateur Astronomical Observatory, among other institutions. This Small Telescope Group consists of over ten telescopes with apertures ranging from 25 to 80 cm, focusing primarily on astrophysical studies of transients, supernovae, and variable stars. It is also equipped for applied research in areas such as space debris monitoring, laser communication, and light attenuation observation. Additionally, the array serves as a testing and experimentation platform for innovative technologies and methodologies.
