1. In 2012, Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory won The Advanced Science and Technology Award of State Surveying and Mapping.
2. In 2008, the project of The Very Long Baseline Interferometry Applying on Precise Orbit Determination of Chang’E 1 Lunar Satellite won the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Awards.
3. In 2008, Urumqi Observatory has made a great contribution to the first Chinese Lunar Exploration Program, and was honored by the Lunar Exploration Center of Commission for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense
4. In 2004, the Pulsar Observation System of 25-m Radio Telescope of Urumqi Observatory won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Government of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
5. In 2000, 2004 and 2005, Xinjiang Astronomical Society won the Advanced Society Award of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region respectively.
6. In 1999, the Urumqi 25-m radio telescope system won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Government of Xinjiang Autonomous Region
7. From 1997 to 2001, Urumqi Observatory has won Advanced Collective Award of Popular Science of the Government of Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
